Internship Opportunity in Health Economics
We are searching for 6 months interns to join the team Medellin, Colombia.
The selected candidate will be joining the Health Economic & Market Access team. Amaris is a consulting group specializing in business management, information systems, telecommunication, engineering and biotechnology. The Department of Health Economics and Market Access (HEMA), serves pharmaceutical companies in the generation of scientific evidence supporting pricing, reimbursement and market access for their health technologies. Our services include studies assessing the epidemiology, disease management, unmet medical needs, burden of disease, cost of illness, relative efficacy and safety, cost-effectiveness and budget impact of health technologies, as well as supports in strategic pricing and marketing, value proposition and communication.
The role will include the following responsibilities: - Interpreting data within the context of the project - Supporting internal & external communication - Reviewing published models and conducting basic QC in a model - Manipulating a model and running simple analyses - Working on country adaptation of global models (under guidance of senior team members) Building and supporting sections of a model (under guidance of senior team members)
Ideal Candidate (but not limited to): - Advanced degree in (Health) Economics - Working understanding of Health Economic analysis and HTA processes - Knowledge of conducting systematic literature reviews - Ability to undertake and interpret quantitative analyses required for economic model development (under guidance of senior team members) - A solid theoretical foundation in Cost-Effectiveness, Budget-Impact, Cost of Illness or Burden of Disease analysis - Experience in programming languages as VBA, R and Winbugs is considered an advantage - Advanced level in Microsoft Excel - Fluency in English (written & spoken) - Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
