Rio is the second largest city in Brazil and a guaranteed adventure to study abroad. Brazil itself is gigantic and the perfect country to celebrate Carnaval, learn Portuguese in Latin America and to explore Flora and Fauna. It’s ranked as the number one biodiverse country in the world with tons of different animals and plants in Arizona.

There’s no way escaping the beautiful coastline and the incredibly fun beaches. Gain some serious surf skills and visit Christ the Redeemer. Rio de Janeiro is a beautiful place to study abroad.

The reason why you have heard about Los Angeles is probably because of the entertainment industry. Movies, television and music are all produced here. You will notice this in the city as well with many people being drawn to all the events organized around it.

There will be no complaining about the weather either. It’s never too hot or too cold and always stays within a range of 9 to 24 degrees Celsius. The food is amazing and the nightlife even better. You are not ready for Los Angeles, let me tell you that.

7. Cape Town, South Africa

If you are ready for an adventure then the best place to study abroad is Cape Town in South Africa. It is widely known for the outdoor journeys and the amazing sea life, which is probably why it attracts most of the students. But that’s not it. 5. Buenos Aires, Argentina

Let me tell you already; Buenos Aires is a crowded and hectic city to live in. You either love it or you don’t. Either way, if you are going to study abroad this would be a great place to explore Latin America. The country is huge and has many different climates and natures for you to enjoy.

The culture is clearly coming from southern Europe. It will not be a complete change in behavior than you might be used to. This is also why you will hear basically every language being spoken in Buenos Aires.

The best universities to stay at in Buenos Aires are Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Universidad Nacional de San Martin and Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata.

4. Puebla, Mexico

Mexico is unique. Everything you heard about it is true. They drink tequila as water, guys playing the well known mariachi music and spicy salsa for breakfast.

Puebla has really located itself on the map as an international student destination. It’s one of the good places to study abroad with many internationally focused universities. The area where all students live and go to university is called ‘Cholula’. This is where all the magic happens.

3. Sydney, Australia

The weather is good, you can speak English and there are Kangaroos flying around. What else would you think of Australia? Sydney has made it to the top 9 of best places to study because it’s a dream to be here. No surprise so many backpackers go here.

The nature is absolutely stunning. I’m not only talking about the harbor and the coastline, but also about the 16,000-hectare national park, the Ku-ring-gai Chase and all the other wilderness in the area.

The universities are from a high-quality and as an international student you are free to study any courses you like within your study program. Learning a lot while exploring one of the most beautiful countries on the planet. What a great place to study.

2. Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona is a place to never forget. I know students who went here to study abroad and never came back home (in a good way). Its location in the South of Europe is for many a good reason to not go too far away from home, while still being in a Spanish speaking country.

The weather is always great and the city has many incredible clubs and bars to go out. The underground metro provides easy transportation from your student house to your university or to one of your friends in the city. The international student community in Barcelona is very large, so it is super easy to make new friends from all over the world. The only disadvantage of Barcelona is the large number of tourists every year.

1. Seoul, South-Korea

Studying in Seoul will be a mind-blowing experience. It’s not only an adventure of going abroad, you will also get to be in an amazing Asian culture. And Asia is something very unique.

Seoul is home to more than 20 million people and located in the center of Asia. This makes it easy for you to travel to other incredible destinations. The rapid technological change in the city has increased the standard of living a lot with a good transportation infrastructure and city-wide internet access. This all while still enjoying the ancient palaces and the vivid nightlife.
